Established in 2004 by the Rodriguez Carballo family due to the low prices of coffee, this lemony, sweet bean comes from a "botique coffee mill." A coffee family since 1880, the Carballo's constructed this specialty mill on their plantation that enables a system of sustainable production, which, in turn, leads to economic viability, environmental conscientiousness and social safety. A perfect dry acidity with hints of banana, cocoa and pineapple that finish cleanly.
A wonderful staple from Africa, this cup is floral with lively lime zest, apricot notes and a creamy body. Twenty-five percent of Ethiopians depend directly or indirectly on coffee and Ethiopia is Africa's largest coffee producer. Much of the ways of production have stayed the same since the 10th century and nearly all is done by hand (think of that as you place each of those individual beans in your ginder!).
Great for all you experimental coffee geeks out there. If you don't know what you want and you're feeling risky, put yourself in our hands and allow us to send you four sample "one-pot" packs (2oz each) of some of our favorite coffees roasted in our favorite way.
